On-Line Security

All credit card details are only transferred to us via a secure web server.
This ensures that the information can not be accessed by anyone but Status Graphite.

In addition, for even higher security, this information is only ever
transferred separately in two parts.
1. Name and address
2. Credit card information

A secure web server ensures that all information transferred between you and our computer is transferred using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption which is the standard for all e-commerce web sites. This means that web pages sent to you are first encrypted by the web server and then decrypted by your browser.
Similarly, any information you submit back to the web server is first encrypted by your browser and then decrypted by the web server. In this way all information transferred between your machine and the secure web server is unintelligible to anyone who may be snooping or monitoring the connection.

You can verify whether or not your browser is using encryption on any site
by looking for a 'padlock'.

In Internet Explorer the padlock can be found, either on its status bar at the bottom of the screen or at the top of the screen to the right of the address.

In Netscape Communicator a padlock is always shown at the far left of the status bar. If the padlock is shown 'open' then you have an ordinary (insecure) connection and if the padlock is shown 'closed' then you have an encrypted (secure) connection.
