STATUS BASS PICKUPS

-- Classic Soap-Bar -- 2003 Soap-Bar -- P & J Style -- Musicman Style --

Status bass pickups are all designed and made here in our own workshop.

Status pickups are fully compatible with most other
manufacturers active circuits so you can safely fit these
Status pickups to your existing instrument.

All pickups are custom-wound here in the Status workshop
foil wrapped for screening and vacuum wax dipped to help stop resonance in the coils.

Each pickup assembly is then potted in epoxy resin so it will be more mechanically reliable.
Single, screened wire output.
Supplied with screws and supporting foam.

The design of Status soap-bar pickups has varied over the years but there were three basic designs :

1. Original humbuckers.
Punchy humbucker with slightly warmer tone.
Used through to the early 90's.

2. "Single" coil pickup with hum cancelling coil.
Cleaner tone from single coil with hum cancelling from 'dummy' coil.
Used from early to mid 90's.

3. Twin coil humbuckers.
Broad frequency response with more midrange definition.
Used from late 90's until present day.

All soap-bar pickups are made to our current specifications unless requested otherwise.
