Signature Bass





The Chris Wolstenholme Signature Bass is now over twelve years old but has been out of production for the past year.

After many months of development a new variation has now emerged and we will not currently be producing or taking orders for the previous models.

This new 'CW-2' SIGNATURE still retains all the original Status design features :

Classic Status body shape.
Custom CW Status 18 volt EQ.
Status custom-wound CW soap-bar pickups.
Solid brass CNC machined hardware.
Richlite Phenolic fretted fingerboard.
Dual-action truss-rod.

All basses, pickups and circuits are still designed and made in our workshop here in Colchester, England.

To celebrate this new model we have made a small production run finished in a selection of stunning ‘AURORA' Chameleon colours.
Both the neck and body are finished in a smooth, durable satin lacquer.


We have a very limited number of basses finished and ready to ship.

The CW-2 bass features original Status soap-bar pickups and a custom EQ which has been fine-tuned to deliver Chris' huge sound.

A master volume works at all times in conjunction with the pickup blend and treble / bass controls.

The midrange frequency and degree of cut / boost can be pre-set ready to be switched in at any time.

18 volts are used to power the circuit and ensure plenty of headroom.
A side jack socket and black hardware are fitted as standard.
Gold or chrome hardware is also available.

The CW Signature bass is available as a 4 or 5 string.
