Thoughout
the 80's and 90's virtually all Status basses had a zero fret
instead of a standard top-nut.
This
was the same for both headed and headless models.
Headless
basses have always used a zero fret but over recent years a standard
top-nut was used on headed models.
We have had a number or requests from players requesting the original
zero fret design ... here it is.

The
zero fret gives a more even string height and consistent tone
throughout the fingerboard.
It will now be used on all current production of headed basses.
