The body of the Electro-5 has a two-piece, hardwood body (mahogany or walnut). An acoustic chamber is machined into the body before the book-matched exotic facing is glue on. This allows the body to resonate and have a warmer, more "open" response. The three-piece maple neck has a dual-action truss-rod for ease of adjustment and two graphite strengthening bars for long term stability.
