| Passive |
The classic circuit
which has been used on bass guitars for over 50 years. This circuit does not use any batteries but has a simple master volume and tone network with a blend control fitted on two pickup instruments. The tone control works as a treble cut filter rolling off the higher frequencies. |
| Active treble / bass |
This circuit has
a two-band active E.Q. which controls both high and low frequencies.
The bass control has 15dB cut/boost at 120Hz. The treble operates
from around 2Khz with 17dB cut/boost allowing control over the
all-important upper mid and treble frequencies. 18 volt supply for added headroom. |
|
Active 3-band E.Q. bass / mid / treble |
Great care has been
taken to select the three frequencies and the overlap of the
controls. The bass control adjusts frequencies around 80Hz with
the treble up in the 5KHz range. The mid frequencies are fed
to a totally independent circuit to avoid interaction between
controls. 18 volt supply for added headroom. |
|
Active 3-band E.Q. with variable mid frequency |
Active treble and
bass controls are augmented with a variable frequency midrange
circuit. The mid frequencies have a pre-set cut and boost (selected
with a 3-position switch) but the frequency can be swept between
300Hz and 3KHz allowing you the possibility to find the perfect
midrange. 18 volt supply for added headroom. |
